X-rays (digital) - from £10

OPG (Panoramic digital x-ray) - £40

Dental treatments

Veneers - from £450

A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth, like a false fingernail fits over a nail. They can cover worn tooth enamel, uneven tooth alignment or spacing and chips or cracks.

They improve the colour, shape and can be used to improve the position of the tooth in your mouth creating a brighter, whiter smile.

Crowns - from £550

A crown is like a jacket that encases a tooth and they can be made in a number of materials dependant on the strength required, and the look wanted. They are suggested when a tooth is broken or a large filling needs replacing. A crown can also be used to improve the appearance of a large discoloured filling. The crown preparation is sent to a laboratory where the skill of the technician is paramount in creating a tooth in one of three materials.

The main choices of materials are:

Porcelain bonded to precious metal: This is what most crowns are made from. A precious metal base is made and then porcelain is applied in layers over it.

Porcelain crowns: These crowns are made entirely out of porcelain and are not as strong as bonded crowns, but they can look very natural and are most often used for front teeth.

All-ceramic crowns: This modern technique offers a metal-free alternative, which can give the strength of a bonded crown and the appearance of a porcelain crown. Therefore it is suitable for use in all areas of the mouth.

Glass: These crowns look very natural and are used on both front and back teeth.

Inlays - from £450

Inlays replace fillings within the biting surface of a tooth. These are made in conjunction with a laboratory and your dentist. They are specially made out of porcelain or gold and fit like a jigsaw piece into the shape of the filling.

Bridges - from £495 per unit

Bridges are used to fill the gaps of missing teeth and are only possible if the tooth is strong enough and has good enough bone support. Bridges are made in the laboratory following preparation work done by your dentist in the surgery. They are usually made out of porcelain bonded onto precious metal. There are also new bridges made entirely of a special type of strong porcelain.

Implants from £1400

A dental implant is essentially a substitute for a natural root and commonly it is screw or cylinder shaped. Once fitted, these components provide the foundation for long-term support of crowns, bridges or dentures. Indistinguishable from natural teeth, they provide reliable alternatives to uncomfortable dentures or bridgework, or a single implant can simply replace a single missing tooth. Root Canal Therapy - from £275

RCT cleans and disinfects the canal of the tooth from the inside. The canals are then filled to prevent the infection from recurring. An alternative to RCT is extraction.

Signs that you might need a RCT:

  • Minimal to severe pain
  • Tooth discolouration
  • Swelling and irritation in the surrounding gum tissue
  • Signs of infection visible on an x-ray

Fillings - from £60.00

Composite Bonding from £80

A white filling material can be added to the teeth to create a fuller look.

Using a special composite bonding technique, your dentist can close these gaps improving the integrity of the gum and the appearance of your smile. This s a minimally invasive & cost effective treatment , no injections needed. These gaps are filled with a composite ( highly polished white filling materials) matched to the shade of your teeth. This is then shaped and polished to give a beautiful shine that is smooth to the touch.

Fissure Sealants- £40 per tooth

Fissure sealants are plastic coats that are applied to the biting surface of your back teeth, like a nail varnish that coats the surfaces and protects them from bacteria and decay. They are normally applied to children’s teeth when their first molars come through at the age of six but can be applied to adult teeth as well.

Custom-made Sport Guards - from £95

Extractions - Front Tooth £90, Molars £150

Simple tooth removal

Surgical Extractions - £190

Dentures - from £250

Tooth replacement for the upper or lower jaws. Dentures are custom-made to fit the specific oral measurements and condition. The appearance of dentures will also be bespoke to your smile, so your new teeth will look completely natural.

Cfast anterior orthodontics - from £2150

Cfast was designed as an adult orthodontic system to create a significant improvement in the appearance of the patient’s teeth. This is done discreetly, with minimal discomfort and without significantly changing any biting position.

By focusing on just the front six teeth – “the social six” that make up most of the visible smile , we can usually complete treatment in around 4-6 months. Unique aspects of the treatment include, clear brackets and tooth coloured wires which are barely visible, low forces and short overall treatment time provide a gentle solution which is relatively less expensive than other treatments.

Holly Willoughby is one of the celebrities who opted for the Cfast treatment to achieve her beautiful smile.

Advantages include:

  • Incredibly fast treatment with results in only 4 to 6 months.
  • Discreet tooth-coloured wires and brackets only noticeable close up.
  • In the majority of cases, no tooth extractions are necessary; the correction is made to the ‘smiling teeth’ rather than the whole bite.

Retainers - £150

Periodontal Therapy - £140 per quarter mouth

  • 1st Appointment (30 minutes) – £58

Full mouth assessment with hygienist, to establish severity of disease. Measurements are taken at six points around each tooth. This will give an indication as to the level of bone that has been lost and provide base level scores to refer back to. Emphasis at this appointment will be on the part you play in helping to treat the disease. It is very important that the bacterial load in your mouth is reduced. The plaque in your mouth contains bacteria which cause gum disease. A tailored oral health regime, the right products for your mouth will be provided to get you started in preparation for the treatment phase.

Treatments will be 4 appointments at £140 per quarter mouth or 2 appointments at £195 per half mouth

As close together as possible, ideally within 24 hrs for half mouth treatment but this is not always possible in terms of cost or time.

Each appointment will last 60 to 90 minutes and will depend on the number of teeth to be treated and as to whether local anesthetic is used. Gum disease does not happen overnight, so if it takes months to finish the treatment due to cost we will help you get there as long as you play your part in your home care routine. It is important to have the bacteria and the tartar removed from under the gum so that the healing process can begin, this is not something you can do yourself which is why it needs to be done professionally.

Acclimatisation to dental treatment - £30

Introducing young children to health care professionals and the services they offer can be a bit daunting and dentistry is no different. This is particularly so if you are a nervous dental patient yourself! It can be difficult not to transfer your anxieties to a child and this can result in the child becoming anxious about visiting the dentist too.

Children are always introduced to our care in a very gentle and friendly way. Many small children are very happy to see us on their first visit, however, if a child is very anxious, we may spend several visits settling them down and getting them used to us and to being in the clinic. These visits involve small steps towards eventually getting them to happily sit in the dental chair and let us look at their teeth.

This process of acclimatisation is vitally important to help a nervous child become a confident dental patient, and avoid dental anxiety continuing into their adult life.

“As an actress ,and especially with the advance of HD television I was self-conscious about my teeth on camera. My teeth were not terrible but I knew they could be improved. I went to the Dental Health Spa and talked to Christina and Annie about C Fast, a system of braces which corrects the ‘social six’ teeth top and bottom, (canine to canine). Because of work commitments I wanted it to be quick. Christina was meticulous in making sure my teeth and gums were in good condition before I started, then Annie took me through the whole process. Annie’s care and attention to detail was faultless. Within six weeks my braces were off, I then had Zoom whitening a painless relaxing hour and half in the chair and my teeth were brighter and whiter than they had been in years. 2 weeks later with Annie’s artistry, using bonding she made the final adjustments. I am absolutely thrilled with the result and cannot praise Christina, Annie and her team at Dental Spa enough, and would, and have, recommended them to everyone! It’s also a lovely friendly atmosphere, with the amazing Willy Hendry’s hair salon upstairs and Carol’s Health spa too! It’s the best fun I’ve ever had ‘going to the dentist’!”

“My favourite thing in Dental Health Spa is the magic blue water that makes my teeth all clean!”
